Just purchased a Heritage (Bronze frame/Black slide) and found this forum.
I am a 1911 addict, have had about every brand of 1911 in the less expensive brands, Springfield, Para, Ruger, Remington, Taurus, Colt, etc.
I still own Colts, Remingtons, and a Taurus, even a GSG (22).
I found my heritage through the Military PX (Retired/Disabled military) and got it way cheaper than I could buy it (even at cost) at the LGS I work part time for.
I carry a Sig P227 when in uniform (State Issued) and a Colt when in plain clothes, which I am in most of the time.
Really looking forward to testing out my DW, the fit and finish is very impressive, so much so I am already considering selling off some of my "lesser" 1911's and just going completely over the edge into DW addiction.
Looking forward to learning from and conversing with the members here.

Welcome to DWF, my first 1911 was a Taurus, in spite of much internet BS, it was a pretty good gun, and a good learning experience on 1911's.
It was also my trade in +$$ on my only DW 1911, a PM-1S, easily the most accurate centerfire pistol I have ever owned.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Ah yes we have heard that before. You have found the right place here! We will do nothing but encourage your new addiction. I have not seen a Heritage with the bronze black combo, would you post a couple pics? Sounds cool.
My one suggestion before you shoot it, please follow the lubing/ cleaning procedures in the manual that came with the pistol to avoid any trouble.

There is also a Bronze slide and black frame Heritage made also.
From the serial number you can see this was the 165th 1911 made in 2015, I assume that would make it a January 2015 production. The case did have a bit of dust on the outside and a bottle of lube inside. It shipped directly from DW to my LGS.
