This is my first DW. It's a .45, model # PT-CBOB. It has lots of scratches that look like someone was praticing their smithing skills. No problem since this will be a carry piece. I've already learned alot from this site - thanks to the mods and members!

My hobbies include 4wheeling, exploring history (ghost towns), and fishing in Arizona, Co, UT, and CA.

Mark- Welcome to DWF, it's great to have another 1911 shooter here. I saw your other post, and I think you got a really great deal. If you're so inclined, you can really clean up minor scratches on Stainless pretty easily.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks, I do some research on that! I will have to do something about the scratches because everyone will think I did them - showing disrespect to a fine DW piece Embarassed. The sad part is this was carried by a newly certified gunsmith; I don't know anything about the training they go through, but seems like he could have cleaned up the finish and asked more for it. Oh well.

Fingers are crossed -  I hope to get in some range time tomorrow afternoon (they were waiting in line today Frown)
