I agree with Stinger that the best place to start is New Members.
A Model 715 barrel will not work on a Model 15, are you sure you have a Model 15?
New Member intro and a couple of pictures will help us answer most questions.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Those are early factory checkered target grips. They are from the mid 70s. They are one of my favorites.

Yes, the Model 715 is a stainless version of the blued Model 15-2 .. parts are interchangeable. Some fondly refer to a mixed gun as a "Pinto". Nice pair of shootin' irons you got there.
