to the forum. Sounds like you have a really nice one there.
First suggestion is to turn off the caps lock. (It's considered shouting.)
Second, others are going to know more than I but pictures will really help. I can't find the thread with instructions but I'm sure somebody will post it soon. It's pretty easy. Just take a few digital pictures, open a Photobucket account (it's free), upload your pictures there and then post here inserting a link to the pics.

Welcome to the forum.
I have seen those pistols talked about here, but can't find the thread right now. From what I remember, they were 2 runs of 250, they were the first .44 magnums made I think about 1981. The first 250 (I think) had mild engraving on them the second run did not.
It is hard to put a value on, I have seen ones on Gunbroker but not for a long while. Hopefully some of our more knowledgeable members will know more on them and whether what I have here is right or not. A thread on these would be nice to have in our unusual models forum.

Your's looks to be in excellent condition and I would believe to be
worth at least the very minimum today $900 and may go at auction
over 1K.

Your gun seems to have been fired a little, however the remainder of it's days have probably been spent simply cycling the action. As stated previously, 1981 is the first year of the DW 44's. I believe these first 500 guns were built in the Jan-Feb area of 1981. Possibly a month or so earlier. Of course, that may change later, as more DW history is uncovered.
From what I have seen lately, the $1K ceiling on these particular guns has been just that…in August 2009, #'s 41 & 42 (first run) sold on GB for an even $2,000.
BTW, (mainly for the "cool factor" of the last of the series), number 500 (2nd run) sold on GB for $500 in May 2010…unfired. The buyer ran a few rounds through it then flipped it on GB for $575 on 7/31/10. I haven't seen it since.
Hindsight being what it is, I should have saved pics of sale #2, but I didn't. Needless to say that #3 owner realized he has something unique (the very last of it's series) & isn't selling so far.
Currently I think that $800~900 is probably a fair market assumption for these, depending on. Well, depending on who is looking at the time, plain & simple. To me, your "2nd run" pedigree paperwork holds at least 50% of the particular gun's value. If the number on the paperwork matches the number on the gun, there's no disputing it's heritage.
In fact, (and IMO), this series of DW's probably possess the most rock-solid pedigree of most any older DW, simply because of their matching paperwork. I wish more DW's had such a lavish bloodline. When (and if) future s/n info becomes available, these first 500 44's may very well become a cornerstone in determining a baseline production timeline…for sure a baseline in DW's 44 production.
Here's a shot of #500's pedigree. I hope this made it to owner #3, along with the gun…
