New to the site. From Wilmington,N.C. Belong to the Anthill Gun club in Bolivia,N.C. Just bought a Dan Wesson A2 Commander. There was supposed to be 200 made. I'm not sure I will shoot it or not. Don't know any thing about it except from what is written on the DW web site. Any one know any thing about this gun. I own a DW ECO also and love the gun! Thanks!

You will find a lot of info and posts on the A2 on another fine website.. the 1911 Forum... under Dan Wesson tab. The A2 is an old school classic design. Most DW are stainless or black duty coat....I recall yours is blued. The 200 manufactured represents a good portion of the 2000-3000 thousand 1911s that CZ makes yearly. IMHO, I would shoot and enjoy it. I doubt that it will appreciate a lot as a collector firearm.
