Well I finally got around to making my introductory post, for the longest time I sat idle watching the posts investigating these “wesson guns”. Then one day I saw one in a pawn shop, pristine, rarely, if ever fired, with an 8VH barrel. I bought it. THAT one pawn shop, THAT day, it was meant to be.
I am very glad I made the decision to do my research and heed your words, you folks are genuine in your claim that this IS indeed the most accurate revolver ever. It simply is, it shoots to POA consistently, you can literally PICK your target apart by choosing what you want to hit, it's absurd! Couldn't be happier. And with that said here is my baby and it's companions, the Dan wesson M15-2 in various lengths, show with a taurus .44 magnum tracker, 1922 colt .38 army special, and my 1935 M91/59 Mosin Nagant!:

Toad,
and glad you have discovered the DW family. Everyone is more than willing to share their knowledge and experiances, without exception. Now I don't have to say cause you already have, but I couldn't resist. Now be careful that you don't catch DWAS or you'll have to post more . Welcome aboard!

Well...I am already looking for a .44 Mag Dan Wesson...and the 10mm Dan Wesson 1911 is looking mighty fine. BUT I am glad I have found a manufacturer that deserves my loyalty rather than buying things that haven't proven themselves!
My first test for the gun after sighting in, was a one handed 6 shot, 6 body part target shoot, one handed with .357 loads at 15 yards.
I managed to plant one shot in each arm, each shoulder, one in the center of the face, and one center mass (oragnge area). Like I said, the accuracy of these weapons is absurd. I am really looking forward to my next addition. Inevitably this will be passed down to the next generation, and I am proud that it will be this revolver. I've been looking in to getting small mods done to it as well as a possible nickle plate over the whole gun.
Thanks again for the welcome!

Thanks for coming in and telling us more about yourself. These Dan Wessons sneak up on you, and they sort of never let go. If I reloaded, a 10mm Dan would be a must have for me
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks for the intro. One Dan Wesson invariably leads to another...and another...
A 10mm would be a great semi. I have a Gold Cup 10mm that I absolutely love. (No peanut gallery comments, Dan Wesson wasn't even thinking of 1911's back then.) I am looking for a DW, and it will be a 10mm.

Toad,
Thanks for sharing the with us. Great to hear you have fallen head over helas for the DW's. The most under rated revolver in the gun world. One of these days the local shops will walke up to what's happening and jack their prices on these fine guns, but till then... Enjoy and I think you have already caught a case of DWAS. No cure but to keep feeding it

Great intro!
I think it's pretty cool to hear someone such as yourself, discovering how neat these guns are...sort of like a secret that only a select few seem to know about. I haven't tried picking off body parts from a target yet, I'll have to give it a shot next time.
That baby will look great wearing a coat of nickel one day. I like the old Colt too, you can tell that one sure has some history.

I've discovered that with Nickle, I almost don't want to shoot it. Mine will be as close to a safe queen as I get, I am getting another 15 just to shoot.

My only dissapointment is that they do not make them anymore. DW revolvers were simply so far ahead of their time. There is no denying that! Just a shame that the majority of people haven't a clue what these things are.
Exactly the reason to buy them ALL now
