Hello all recently I decided to finally give in and get me my first revolver and what better then the dan wesson 15-2! All i know about her is that she came into this world in 1978 but for how well she looks seems like someone really cared for her! (separated post from previous topic, started new post- rwsem)

Congratulations, you got a beauty. When you eject cartridges, keep your index and middle fingers through the frame keeping the cylinder fully open and tilt the gun to the left. Almost all small frame dans have scratches on the sideplate and back of recoil shield from the rachet because of improper handling. If you don't have scratches it will break your heart to get them.

Thanks for the tip man im in the process of getting the pachmayr gripper grips and probably in november pick up the 2.5 inch barrel. Once lbcustoms takes more orders next spring (jesus tap dancing christ) I'll get me a real grip but for now the stock grips are pretty nice!

Welcome to DWF! My personal favorite after all these years is 15-2/715 in 4 VH, and yours is a beauty.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks man!, I've always wanted to get a 4 inch colt python but by time I got to handgun owning age they were (and still) expensive for my blood. I discovered the 15-2 my incident and now owning one I think I'd rather own one of these bad boys then a python anyday!

Big Welcome from the Hick... that is a great looking Dan.. now that ya have the fever what is next ?... we all get if and like all of us you to will get it and it aint a bad thing ..if ya have any questions this is the place to ask .. the people on here are real smart when it comes to Dan Wesson and if they don't know they will find out for ya I have had revolvers from other manufactures and nothing shoots like a Dan

Congrats on your new piece. The "small frames" have always been my favorite. If you have a chance to pick up a .22 you'll like that as well.
