Got my first ever DW today, a 44, came with an eight inch ported barrel and shroud, and a ten inch barrel and shroud with a Leupold 2x scope and b square mounts. Also has the tool and gage.
Traded a pretty nice Colt 6721 ar15 for it, maybe too much but I don't care, I've wanted one since high school. This revolver is a work of art compared to the matte black metal and plastic I gave for it.
New endeavor for me but I'm excited as hell and glad to be on this site.

Welcome to the forum! I think you made a good trade, the Dan is a work of mechanical beauty. I wonder how in demand today's plastic and matte black guns will be in 30+ years?

to the from PA. Sounds like you made an equitable trade. You received something you wanted and had something to give up. That's what trading is all about. I once traded a S&W 460 for (2) DW's. You will enjoy your range time with the 44, very manageable shooter with those longer barrels. The DW's also handle the heavier loads without starting to shake apart like some lighter built 44's around. The extra scope mount and Leupold round out your deal nicely.
