Hello from NH. New to "modern" handguns. I have collected US military small arms for many years, all purchased with my C&R license. I just ventured into the unknown by purchasing a model 15-2, serial #30085x. I plan to mostly keep it in my night stand, although I do have a license to carry. Can anyone tell the year of mfg ?

Thank you

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Welcome to DWF, 1981 is most likely for this 15-2. Condition seems really, REALLY nice. That grip really lends itself to concealed carry, but most any .357 magnum loading will be a "handful" in this gun.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks for the welcome replies, and probable 1980/81. It is REALLY nice, almost pristine, that, and the collector in me,  is the reason I could not pass on it

Welcome. That gun looks familiar, haha. We all spend time watching GunBroker.com. Gun porn. Have you heard how addictive they are?

I am really confused...(happens to me a lot)...but how did this guy know he bought the pistol 24 hours before the auction ended?

For those of you who didn't see the original picture (subsequently deleted) you can see the auction here...
