Good morning all,
Proud to be a member of this forum. Did not know that this forum was in existence, until my son gave me a DW .357 with an eight barrel attached along with a two inch barrel for an early Father's day gift. I then started looking for a model number and a build year date. Looking forward to reading more about Dan Wesson in the future.
I remember back in the mid 1980s at a IHMSA match in SW Arkansas and watching in amazement how accurate the Dan Wesson revolvers shot ( .357 and .44 ). Dan Wesson revolvers at that time became an Eleanor to me. Which I am a die hard .41 fan, but just having a DW is another answered prayer. Maybe someday one day a .41 will fill my hands.
Just received a text from my son, he is trading for a DW .44 as I'm typing this. Maybe he will want to work on a trade.

Well, the .44 DW deal went bad, the cylinder stop was broken or so dirty that it wouldn't "pop up" to hold the cylinder. Any way, son did find a Mod. W12. He went and bought is Sunday, serial number is 308X. If anybody could give us a manufacture date, it would be appreciated. And I would post the pictures of them but don't know how. Have not found instructions on the forum yet.
I do have a question, will Dan Wesson, since it's a sub of CZ, still repair older revolvers?
Thanks for the welcoming.
