My name is Joel and I just came onto this site. Got my first Dan Wesson yesterday at a
gun show in Middletown, NY; I have been interested in getting one for a long time. I got a near mint model 14 with 2 1/2 inch barrel and small grips. I plan to try to get every size barrel and shroud available, because of the uniqueness of this gun. I have many .357 and .38 revolvers(and lots of other things) but this looks very different.
Cant wait to get out and shoot it.

Sweet buy Joel! And welcome to the Dan Wesson forum.
Lot's of information and pics - and a group that can probably answer any questions about that sweet lil' model 14.
That's the Service model with the fixed sights. Great for Concealed Carry. And snubbie with the small grips is great undercover.
There are frequently barrels on GunBroker. Most of them are for the model 15's, but I've seen them for 14's with the fixed sights and standard top rail too.
We're ready for some pictures anytime you are!

Welcome aboard, Joel!
Ok, so now that you've gotten your first DW, beware...it can tend to be addicting. Soon, you'll be wanting every DW you lay eyes on...then you'll have to make up good excuses to tell your wife, like Photohaus has mastered. 
LOL!
And yeah, don't be camera shy. Post some pics in the "post pics of your gun" thread, as soon as you're darn good & ready.
