patrickw350- Welcome to DWF. If your revolver is Stainless in .357, it is indeed a 715, and your barrel is a 4". If your barrel has the full length underlug it is the H type, and if the top rib is also vented it would be a VH. What type holster will you be getting (IWB/OWB, particular brand/model)?
We like to see pictures if you have some available, just hop over to Revolver/Pictures to post, and especially artistic shots can make it into the Slide Show Header/Check Out Our Dan Wessons

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

thanks for great info. you confirmed exactly what the info on this site provided. i'm considering a galco doa leather holster. found one at opticsplanet for $68.00 which is the cheapest i've come across. they seem to run about $20 higher even from galco themselves. however open to other suggestions. no need for a ccw holster for this one. best regards

If you are looking for a non CCW holster, Midway has the Bianchi 5BH Thumbsnap with a closed muzzle for $49.99. More of a field/hunting holster

This is not a lined holster, but this should not be an issue with Stainless

Welcome aboard. If I understand your barrel length description you may have a fixed barrel model. They made a 5 inch barrel. If there is no barrel nut on the muzzle end you have a 5 inch. If there is a barrel nut you probably have a 4. As for a holster there aren't many manufacturers that list Dan Wesson's but if it fits a python it usually will work with a model 15. Good luck and lets see some pics.
