I've owned my DW for about a year.

It's a nice model 15-2 6in, 38 special ctg. Serial: 2555xx

I also have an extra 357 cylinder and three extra barrels. 2.75in, 4in and 10in.

Bought it from an amateur gunsmith that is an perfectionist, I've never handled a gun with better DA action than this one. A bit harder than a highly tuned S&W but it is smoother than a baby's bottom, crisp and clear. Drool

I'm in the process of mounting a scope base on the 10in shroud and trying to fix my wobbly rear sight.

Welcome to the Forums!!!

That sounds like an excellent use of DW modularity! I have been thinking about getting another cylinder for my own 15-2.  We all love pictures of Dan Wessons so please consider posting a few!

Welcome and nice gun.  May I suggest that you not drill and tap for that scope?  You might look for a set of Leupold scope rings which were made to mount on the vented rib of either a Colt Python or a Dan Wesson.

Just a thought.

I've been looking around for a b-square base or rings for a vented rib, both leupold and millet, for quite some time without any luck.

In Sweden it is extremely rare with scopes on handguns and those who have them aren't selling anything.

And the few times I've found something interesting on the international market, they wouldn't ship to Sweden.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

I got the mount today, I have to run it through the mill and shave off 0.1" from the back so it won't snag my scope.

Now I will have to spend my weekend to zero the scope and have some fun! Mini Gun

Had to replace the original screws as little old ham fisted me stripped some threads while mounting it.

I'm going to get some new screws as soon as I go to the hardware store, to my big surprise it seems that the screws on this mount are metric.

I was thinking earlier today, I got a nice revolver with a nice scope.

It needs a nice place to live!

After a couple of hours with a sharp blade an a can of glue I came up with this.
