Hey Y'all, new Dan Wesson ECP owner here in Texas. While it is one of the nicest pistols I have had the pleasure of shooting, the slide lock has failed to engage 100% of the time. I went out and bought two Wilson Combat mags to see if it was a magazine issue. No such luck. Before I send my new baby back to the factory, is there an easy fix for this issue?
Thank you in advance for thoughts and advice.

Thank you Dart! So far I have put almost 600 rounds through it. I like to torture test a new gun to see how it works under less than optimal conditions.
It is chambered in 9mm. I called customer service and they suggested I make a warranty claim. While I am certainly willing to let the experts look it over, I was thinking there might be a simpler solution.

On the one forum a persons Specialist had this happen and it was that his slide stop wasn't inserting 100%, It looked like it was but it had a little gritty feeling when being inserted. Keith said it's not unusual especially on 9mm Duty Treat guns. May take a little more break-in or some dressing up of the slide stop. Or waiting for it after a trip back to the mothership.
