Sounds sadly odd, referring to Connecticut as 'The Constitution State' but make no mistake: there are some of us who HONOR and are willing to DEFEND the SACRED gift from GOD known as FREEDOM.
I am in CT, and I *just* received my dream gun, a Dan Wesson Model 15-2 vented, heavy barrel .357 magnum, with 2.5", 4", 6", and 8" barrels. Lots of pics to come, likely in a different subforum in a new thread.
No suitcase, no tools. Just the revolver (with a nice wooden grip) and the barrels and shrouds.
It looks to be in great shape...but the barrels not presently mounted (the 6" barrel is on it now) are in bad cosmetic shape- looks like either cobwebs or maybe even dirt? o_O
Shot a bit high and to the left, gonna need to adjust that. (I have no idea how to- I will have to explore the site!)
I also have a little rust (minor) and I may want to do the everyman tune-up tutorial I saw posted, but I am NOT a handy/natural/experienced engineer. I am gonna be concerned to fully strip and clean it and gently polish it.... The only firearm I ever FULLY stripped was a Ruger 10/22 and I couldnt fully reassemble it myself. I had to have a l.g.s. do part of the trigger reassembly.
My Dad has a Dan Wesson 357 but I am not sure if it is a model 12 or model 15. The nut at the end of the barrel looks like a gear from the internals of a clock.
I plan to spend some time on this forum, so glad I found it!
And thanks to Jody for helping me figure out how to register, and the site owners for having the site as an incredible resource, and also the EXTREMELY helpful & awesome advertisers- EWK and LB Custom Grips.
Once LB will take my order, I intend to pay up front and get a second, custom, exotic grip.
And EWK will have my order this weekend.
And, I may buy a rear sight from somewhere else. (EWK- why not offer one?)
Greetings everyone!

Welcome! Glad to hear that there is another good guy down in CT!
On the rear sights, that is a possibility I am working on. Its kind of involved to make them with all the little parts that are involved, have a quality product, and have a reasonable price. But like I said, I'm working on it!

I'm sure my brother Steve, also an inmate in Malloy gulag, will be along to welcome you. So, just let me say welcome from The Lone Star State.
Sadly, yes, I am a resident of the "Constipation State" as well, welcome to DWF
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
