Hello all.
Long time lurker, although I know many of you from other forums, and have bought from, sold to, and bid against many of you over the years!
While I have visited the DWF since it's beginning, I am just now registering as a member.
Alot of the info in the "What model do I have" thread is originaly from my post on the Greybeard website, so although I haven't been a member here untill now, I guess I have indirectly contributed to the forum.
I have been shooting & collecting Dan Wessons for 23 years. In fact, I celebrated my 21st birthday, not in a bar, but in a gunshop ordering my first handgun, a model 740-V8S.
Not getting married untill I was 33 helped in my collecting! LOL That, and the fact that alot of my DWs were purchased before the price increases of the last few years. At this point, it is easier to list the models I don't have, rather than those I do. Still looking for an ActionCup, don't have any of the pokchop guns, and other than a 375 & a couple model 15-2s, all my DWs are stainless. I believe that I do have every caliber ever offered as a production item.
I know some of you will be asking for pictures & I really don't have many, but will promise to work on that.
I'm actually going through the safe now and will be thinning out some duplicates soon. I have a couple things I know that will be of interest, so keep an eye on the auction sites.
I'm glad this site exists. As we all know, there is so much info on these guns that is "lost" or incomplete, and as soon as you think you know something to be a fact, you find a exception to the rule. In a way I think that was what has always been great about DW in the past, they listened to their customers & gave them what they wanted. I hope CZ-USA will eventually do that with the revolver fans, although it doesn't look promising.
Well, that's all I know right now, I look forward to contributing & helping this forum & membership keep the DW legacy alive.
Thanks.

Thanks for joining DWF, it looks like you have a lot of experience and knowledge to share with us. If you have any information to help fill out our Serial Number Registry, that would be greatly appreciated, specifics are noted on the right sidebar.
You can also list some of the stuff you're selling here, in the Classified section
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Sounds like you've got an impressive collection, I'm sure we'll all love to over your if & when you can show 'em off.
to the I'm glad you decided to join the goup. The more longtime collectors we can have around here, the wider & deeper the overall knowledge base will be. Here's looking forward to many future posts.
Welcome to the
When I first started DWF a couple of years ago I searched all the forums trying to compile info and GBO was one of them I hit. The information you posted was a great help in establishing the basis for the model information we have here.
As Steve stated above you are more than welcome to post free ads here in the classified section. And you you do go straight to auction we have an Auctions forum where you can post information about your auction!
Again welcome to the forum!

Aaron- this is really one of the friendliest and easygoing shooting sites on the Web, and it is almost completely "Member Moderated". The instances that Admin/Moderators need to intervene are virtually non existent. Great Members here.

El Hombre to the . I am one of those you sold to... My first ever 7414 came from you
I remember! Did you keep the beadblasted finish on that one or did you polish it up?
You say "My first ever 7414" does that mean you found some more?
The one I sold you was my first 7414 also.

The bead blasted finish was gone before I fired it. An unfluted cylinder now resides in the frame and it has grown to a full blown Pistol Pack sporting (6) BA's. Oh and yes a "few" more found their way here
A man cannot have too many SuperMags
