Hi Guys & Gals,
Soon to be a 14-2 owner! I first fell on love with my Uncle's 15-2 about 20 years ago when he first taught me how to shoot. Since then I've owned several S&W's, Glocks, a Ruger, & and an HK USP but never a DW. I found a 14-2 at a local gun shop, it looked brand new and hardly used and bought it. Had a tight lock, no primer marks, and really clean. I bought it beginning of April and probably have another 30 days before it will be in my hand, today is day 60, dang MD waiting period.

A 90 day wait is asinine. It's days like this where I'm glad I live in a more reasonable state.

Yea, the waiting period is terrible. The last pistol I purchased was a Ruger MKIII and it only took 10 days, but that was prior to December '12. While waiting though, I've already purchased an 8" VH to replace the standard 4" that it comes with, Millett DW Scope rings and the barrel tool, just need the actual gun now.

I will post pics as soon as I get my hands on it. The first two months went quickly as I've been pretty busy but time seems to stand still now. I think I'm just gonna be patient and wait for the call to pick it up. Again, thank you guys for the warm welcome. Get ready for some noob questions on the DW once I obtain it.

Four and a half months later and woohoo!! Paperwork came in last Saturday while I was on vacation.
I have a barrel/nut/m14 sight ordered from Eric for the 8" VH shroud pictured.

Thanks! It was worth it. Funny thing is that I heard today that MD State Police gave the go ahead for dealers to release on the 8th day as normal because of the back log, not sure if it's true or just a rumor.
