Only a guess but I bet the shroud started out life as a freebie to someone who worked at DW. I doubt that would have passed QC or even been sold as a blem. Probably sold later as the miss stamp is nothing but cosmetic. But just a theory.

I would agree that it was something of that nature .. It sure is a shooter, I give the trigger (specially the double action) a big edge over a Smith 617 masterpiece ... it is on par with a mint Colt Python in the trigger department.

Picked up 750 rounds of Aquila Super Colbra powderless rounds and have been shooting them in the house at my 3D deer target, It's about as loud as a cap gun inside LOL
