Just a brief introduction. I'm Dennis. I bought my new Dan Wesson 357 Super Mag (heavy, stainless, 8") over 30 years ago. I've put well over 1000 rounds of factory ammo through it. 158gr mostly. I used to shoot regularly. I rarely do any more. I've got the itch again, but ammo is difficult to come by. Reed's has quite a selection, along with some others. They sure are proud of their stuff.
I'll dig around in here a bit and see what I can learn.

Good to have you on the DWF! You can get a good, inexpensive, reloading set from Lee and start rolling your own!
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

The 357 supermag should be used with 170 grain bullets or heavier to reduce top strap etching and forcing cone erosion.

I know that now. When I started shooting this back in the 80's, I was just told the top strap is gonna cut. That's why is extra thick. I just order 200 round of 180g Hornady XTP from Reeds. It should be here later this week.
