I recently bought a nice model 15-2VH Norwich with an 5in. barrel and 8in barrel with scope mount. I have been looking for one in great condishion for 6 or 8 months or so and finaly found one. I have been wanting to hunt whitetails with an revolver but did not want carry anything bigger than a 357 mag. Some people say that's its not big enough caliber but none of my shots have been over 100 yards with a rifle or muzzle loader in our mountains. Plus I wanted a revolver that i could use as a carry gun. I ordered a 2.5in. barrel and small walnut grip from CZ/Dan Wesson for that purpose. Can any one tell me when this model was made serial # D 0035x? Any sugestions on handloading for 357 for big game.

Welcome to the forum! I've been to east Tennessee many times…nice country there. Which factory address is on the side, Monson, Palmer, New York? That would help with dates.
It is from Norwich, New York serial # D 0035x
Is there a way to setup to read all new posts that are put on forum no matter what catigory its in? Thanks.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the forum! My wife and I were just in Gatlinburg last weekend for our 9th wedding anniversary. We try to make it down there at least once a year. It's amazing how much that area has grown since my first visit as a teenager back around 1989.
To answer your question your gun was made after 1997 since that's when they moved to Norwich, NY. If it has CZ on it then it was made in 2005 or later.
Here is a link to the what little information we have on Serial Numbers.
