Hi guys,
After admiring my father's Monson built 715 for decades (he's literally had it since before I was even around), I decided I'd start looking for one for myself. And of course, I found out how the stainless, Monson built 715 is so much harder to find than blued 15-2 examples, or Palmer built 715s. So I've kept my eye on Gunbroker for the last couple years, waiting for a good opportunity for when I could afford one and when one was available, and when the seller would ship to California (no mean feat). Finally everything lined up, and I bought myself a frame. It'll be here before too much longer, and then after the ten day wait and paperwork, it'll be in the safe. Now I just have to find a couple barrels for it! Glad to find this forum, I've been lurking for a bit (it was quite helpful in figuring out exactly what to search for on Gunbroker) and now that I have one, I thought I'd join up and post a bit.

Welcome to DWF.
eBay is probably your best bet on barrel assemblies, new manufacture B/A's are also available from Dan Wesson in Norwich, NY
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Now that is determination! Congradulations and welcome. Please be aware that there is often a spirited bidding war for 715 BA's. An temporary alternative is a modest priced blue BA, just until you score. I will loan you one of my cosmetically challenged extras until you get what you want. No charge and I will pay shipping. It tears my heart out to think of it sitting in the safe while you wait. PM me if you would make me happy.

Welcome to the forum. You will be served well with a 715. I agree with SteveCT, you can get them on E-bay, they are a little steep. If you are not so concerned about the Monson roll mark on the shroud, the laser etched from Norwich look really good.

Old Dog you just brought tears to my eyes. Not very many like you left. Thanks for restoring my faith in people.
