Welcome. Do you have any Manurhin MR 73s?  They are like Dan Wessons on steroids. Small frame Dans that is. I have a huge regard for French firearms. Not many to choose from but the quality is amazing. MR 73 is what a Dan would be if they were not price constrained. IMHO.

Adding my welcome as well.

I really admire what those of you in Europe have to go through to exercise a right that those of us in the US take for granted despite the onset of increasing restrictions here as well.

At the risk of hijacking this thread, I will echo what Ole Dog said about MR 73’s.  I have a few myself, and  while many think that the Germans are the mechanical wizards of Europe, those who do not know Manurhin have sorely underestimated the French. My 5.75” in particular is perfection in metal, albeit without interchangeable barrels.

If forced to choose between giving up my DW’s or my Manurhins, I would ............ I dunno.

No, I have not but we have one in my club's school. A MR 73 match, real Manurhin not Chapuis. Great gun indeed. But his price is not the same!

Welcome to DWF, it looks like that is a very clean and shiny 1979 15-2. It would almost certainly have originally had a wood grip.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

For us, in France, the MR 73, it is at first THE historical weapon of the GIGN.
