I was fortunate to stumble upon this revolver with finger groove combat grips along with the three barrels and wrench for $350 while stopping by a gun shop on a business trip. I thought is was an excellent deal – and just couldn't pass it up.
My collection is extensive — too many to take the time to list, but I enjoy seeking our great buys in my travels and this is one that I know I'll enjoy. I expect that I'll be on the lookout for a 44 Magnum in the future…
It's being shipped home — but I'll post some pictures as soon as I take possession.

Thanks guys. I know that the mail will be slow because to the holiday -- but I'm hopeful that it will arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday so I can take some pics.
My 4 & 6" barrels appear to have the standard shroud and the 2.5" barrel on the revolver is vented.
I'll probably shy away from the SuperMags... If I need that much firepower, I'll go for my 50 Beowulf rifle!
A DW 44 Will compliment my first year of production Ruger 44 Carbine that I picked up in an estate sale a couple of years ago.
I've previously owned two other DWs -- but they were a pre-CZ Razorback in 10mm and a post-CZ Pointman in 10mm. I'm a 10mm fan, but didn't care for it in the 1911 platform -- so they departed my collection in favor of other formats...
I'm looking forward to giving the Model 15-2 a nice workout -- possibly using it for a Tactical Revolver (yep, you read correctly) course that I am scheduled to take in October down in Lakeland, Florida at Southern Exposure Training -- under the instruction of Randy Cain.

I stopped by a gun shop that I hadn't visited in a while this afternoon… Low and behold, sitting in the case were TWO Dan Wesson 44 Magnum revolvers in mint condition in the box — one in stainless and one in blue! Well, the stainless one was under my arm when I walked out of the shop! It is a 744V with an 8 inch barrel wearing nice Zebra wood target grips with DW medallions. Now, I'm in pursuit of a 4" barrel for it — anyone have an extra they'd let go of??

Nice! I don't have an extra 4" stainless BA, but maybe someone will pop in with one.
In the meantime, set's see some...

Welcome ! It sure sounds like you picked up a bad of case of DWAS really quick... If that 744 is a Norwich manufacture, I believe you can still order one from the factory (it would have a 'flat' laser etched mark). If it is a Monson or Palmer, then you will be looking for either a 2 or 1 line roll marked one respectively.

And it continues today... I stopped in to a gun shop while traveling on business in Georgia. A nice sized shop in Bogart, GA. There in the case was a Monson Model 14 snubby with compact wood grip, box, wrench, gauge, etc. in mint condition. It appeared new to me but by the slight wear on the box was previously owned. The price was right -- so it is on the way to my local dealer and should beat me back home!

In 15 posts you have purchased 3 DW's now that is a case of .... That 744 you will like! Look for a 4" but grab the 6" and 10" if you can with pported and non ported Barrels. Keep in mind if shooting ported clean often and clean well. EWK can provide top of the line wrenchs for all your DW needs!! (That's my sales pitch of the day!!)
Now you know that So get busy and Shoot some of the 744 so we can admire your in box buy!
Oh and look for the Earlies Pork chops as shown below!!
