Cool. Sounds like you stopped at Franklin's. I got my last Dan from there. I try to drop in every time I pass through. You may have even saved me from an DWAS attack as I will probably be in there in the next week or so. Don't be stingy with the pics once you get it.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Yes, it was Franklins. I like gun shops like that one -- rather than the "black nylon & velcro" type competitors down the street... They dropped the price by $50 bucks without blinking an eye - even though I needed it shipped to FL. I'll definitely be doing business with them again.

I'm back home now -- and have all three DW revolvers acquired this week sitting in front of me. I'll take some pictures and post them. The Model 14 is almost like new, and just needs a little cleaning. I also plan to perform an "Average Joe" treatment to it - and I'll document that with some pics as well.

OK, here is my first acquisition — a DW Model 15-2 with 2.5", 4", and 6" barrels. the cylinder shows some holster wear, but the rest of it is in pretty decent shape finish-wise:
Next, I ran across a DW Model 744 when I stopped in at a gun shop I hadn't visited in some time. I had a choice between this Model 744 and a Model 44, both with 8" barrels and in the box. I picked the 744:
Finally, while traveling on business in Georgia, I sought out area gun shops along my route (a common practice for me). A shop called Franklin's had this like new DW Model 14-2 with a 2.5" barrel in the box. Interestingly, so far it is my favorite of the three — not sure why:
