I just bought my first Dan Wesson revolver! I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I HAD to have it. I think it is a 15 or 14 model. .357 magnum 8" barrel (bluish/black) with a wood grip. I'll soon want to buy a tool kit and a 2" barrel. A fast reloader. Holster (can't find one that fits). CAn't find a gun lock that fits!
Anyway I feel this forum has a bunch of nice people and I look forward to getting to know the bunch.

If your gun has adjustable sights its a 15, fixed rear sights would be a 14. I won't delve into the -1, -2 designations as you most likely have the -2 variant (most popular model).
We love so show us your new Dan.

That's a nice looking 15-2 you have there, congrats on your cool find!
As to the upside down pic thing, no worries, it's simply today's technology assuming it's smarter than we are by guessing that you really meant to flip the photo this way or that. These things are often too smart for their own good...because nobody told these gagets that we have hammers!

Welcome from PA, yep 15-2s are very good, well all Dan Wessons are very good in my opinion. Model 15-2 is probably the most widely made Dan, a blued .357 magnum with adjustable rear sights. Very sturdy revolvers. The fiber optic sights that EWK makes will work well with it. Yours looks very nice with the 8" heavy barrel.
