I'm obviously a new member. Just joined to learn more about my recent purchase.
I acquired a DW 357 mag. Vented rib, Heavy lug, adjustable rear sight, made in Monson, with a 4" barrel. It's in LNIB condition. I am curious as to what it is worth? I paid $450 for it off armslist. The guy said he thought it was a late seventies model. I am happy with it regardless because I can tell it is a well made firearm. I know very little about Dan Wesson firearms but I am firearm savvy. Hope to become very familiar with this one! Any input is appreciated! Thanks.

You likely have a 15-2 4VH, blued .357 Magnum Dan Wesson revolver. You can get a better idea of the manufacture date by checking out our Serial Number Registry:

$450 would be a little high in my area (CT) but I will say that my local prices are rising over the past year
Welcome to DWF!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome! Love my 4" barrels!
Condition means everything in price. I passed on a DW with an 8" barrel and scope. BUT... that gun was in horrible condition. Price :$500
