Hello everyone, I am a huge 1911 fan and I just put my first DW model-15 on layaway and have already found this forum to be extremely useful.I forgot the golden rule and forgot to take pics before they put it in the safe. Sorry everyone. A little about myself. I’m a commercial electrician on hiatus(construction nearly halted in late 2009 here in Nebraska), so now I professionally brew beer for a local craft brewery( guess that old culinary school experience came in handy, who would of thought) Anyway, I’m glad you guys are here. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. We're glad you're here too. I guess we can give you a bit of a pass on photo's for now, but maybe you can share a little about "I'm a huge 1911 fan". I think that March 29 will be the exact 100th anniversary of the official adoption of the 1911 by the U.S. Army.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I don’t own any DW 1911’s. I did almost pick up a pointman 10 a while ago, but at a risk of being castrated I’ll admit that when it comes to 1911’s I’m a colt fan. Just can’t get that dancing pony image out of my head. My gun collection is very small right now. Had to sell everything some years ago and just recently fell in love with guns again. It helps that my wife enjoys shooting also. She’s the one that pushed me towards a revolver, since she never has shot one. To be honest I haven’t shot a wheel gun since my first handgun purchase when I was 21. s&w 686 snub. Boy do I wish I still had that pistol. Kinda like my first car.
