Hello All-
I am a recent transplant to Tacoma Washington, (from NYC) who just entered the world of Dan Wesson revolvers. I just picked up a used Dan Wesson D-11 .357 revolver. I know very little about this neat wheel gun so I look forward to this forum & the education it can provide. Thanks in advance & all the best!

Welcome to our little corner of the shooting world. The fun part of DWF is that we all learn stuff here every day.
Shall I congratulate you on getting out of NYC?
I will definitely congratulate you on owning a classic DW revolver.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Here's some "CF" info regarding your gun.
The D11 is a fixed sight model, with an external barrel nut & available in three barrel lengths...2.5, 4 & 6 inch. It was also available in .38 spl & .357 Mag variations. The D11 was manufactured in 1970, thru sometime in 1971 (from what I've been hearing lately).
The 2 or 3 digit serial numbers would have easily been in 1970, I believe. Later on, the exposed barrel nut design changed to a flush nut style & the gun became the model 14.
aboard, glad you're here! We'd love to see some if you have any to share.

Welcome and looks like CF took care of you! I gotta ask what all did you get with your D-11 or as we call it PorkChop because of the tang on the barrel shroud. Post up some pics soon as we love the pics! Wrenches for the external nuts can still be found on gunbroker and sometimes ebay, a 12 pt socket will funtion too. barrel gap should be in the .006 area. Look around on here CF has some pork pics posted (ppp) as others do to!
Glad you gotta out of the crazy city!
