I just discovered this site and would like to share my Dan Wesson with those who are as like minded on the accuracy of this pistol.I have a model 15 pistol pac ( serial # 234xxx)I purchased in 1979 right before entering the Marine Corp. I have the 2 1/2", 4", 6", and 8" heavy full shroud barrels. The pistol was manufactured in Monson, Mass and is blued. I still have the original case, tools, gauge, sight blades, and belt buckle. The only thing I am missing is the patch and manual. The pistol is in excellent condition and shoots great. I have put approx. 200 rounds through it so it is like new. I have managed to aquire an extra wood grip and barrel tool and I currently have pachmayr grips on the pistol.
The 6" barrel has a broken pin that the front sight blade snugs up against, I was wondering if anyone could give me details on replacing this pin. oh yea, pictures to follow as soon as I figure out how any advice on that would be greatly appreciated
Welcome to the forum hman!
Sounds like you have nice pac there. Patches are pretty easy to pickup on GunBroker or eBay if you want one.
You should be able to order a pin from CZ \\ Dan Wesson. There contact information is listed under the Parts and Service Forum!
Here is a link to some tips on posting photos.

Hman - a hearty Dan Wesson welcome from Round Rock! Great story. Many of us bought them about the same time. At least you had the good sense to keep yours! Of course many of us have repurchased them also…
You can download a manual from the archives section and the old style patches come up with some frequency on eBay if you're looking to get it back to 100% original. There's a guy selling originals from England - I picked one up for $4.60, though they usually sell for more.
Hanging Pictures:
- Open an account (free) on http://www.Photobucket.com or some other photo hosting site.
- Transfer your pictures from your hard drive to Photobucket using the “transfer pictures” feature in photobucket.
- Start your post on the Forum. While in the body of your post, click on the “green tree icon” at the top of the post tool bar. That will open an input window.
- Go back to photobucket and copy the “direct link” that is listed under your picture. To do that just put your cursor over the link and left click - it will put up a little “copied” identifier.
- Paste that direct link into the top bucket on the input screen that's in your post.
- Click insert & Voila.

Geez, another Texas Guy. Funny thing, in the almost 3 years my son has been in Texas, he says he almost never saw ANY DW's at gun shows or shops.
You are a very lucky original owner of an original Pack, and you should be able to fill in the missing pieces easily. If the guy in England on Ebay that Dusty referred to is Magic Dragon, I will agree that he is great to work with, and regularly has DW stuff. I've purchased several times from him.
Welcome to DWF
Steve
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hello hman- welcome to the forums.
Glad to see another Texan on board. We are definitely going to need to have a DWF Annual Texas meet one of these days.
What part of TX are you in?
Steve CT- yes, for some reason, DW's are fairly few and far between here in the Austin area. I guess a run out to Killeen is in order, once I have some pocket money, since there seems to be many pawn shops close to Ft. Hood. I am under the impression that the pawn shops in that area are loaded up with firearms. Road Trip!

Addicting is an understatement for sure, there is probably a group somewhere working on a program for us called DWA Dan Wesson Anonymous.
Welcome Hman, not sure you know what you're getting into here, but we are glad to have you here with us.
