Well I finally found my Dan Grail I've been looking for forever.  My first DW too,  a very nice condition and super complete P15-2VH with an extra unfired 12vh barrel.  In the og case with the paperwork, the belt buckle, a extra newer looking patch plus the og, tools, warranty card and even price sheets for 77-78, instructions, 3 grips including a new set of Pachs even the keys for the case are still tied to the handle.

This was a competitive shooters gun and has had a lot of shooting to the point the finish is worn off of the grips but all the metal is pristine except a little holster burn on the cylinder and the 4" bbl.  Zero rust ever, finish is still a mirror.  This is a really amazing set and I'm owner #3.

Looking around the site tonight and it seems like a nice friendly place.  I think I'll like it here.

Tomorrow I'll post a couple pics in the "whats it worth" thread.  After reading a bit, I think I did really good at 800 for everything.  Now to find the 10" at least, after seeing there was only 50 of the 15vh bbls made, I doubt I'll run across one of those but that would be sweet as then it would be a true complete 15-2 set.

Sure wouldn't mind a 445 either, about to get the 460 conversion set from my Springfield, and have a model of 1917 S&W, need that 445.

Anyway, thanks for being so helpful as I will be pumping the brain trust a bit.  This is my first DW.

Thanks. I got 2 hours sleep because of this @%@#% site and all the info on DW.

heh, I'll survive and I learned a ton.  How are the new CZ 10" barrels?  I read either here or on their site that they fit the 15-2 no problem and at 433 list, that's a heck of a lot cheaper than the fleabay stuff.

Though there's about an hour left on what looks like a fairly pristine set of combats,  mine are so used the wood got so thin at the top a chunk of the "backstrap" cover broke out sometime in the past.  They were obviously the OG owners favorite.  The Target grip just needs stripped and refinished and it will be nice, maybe a light sand as the grain is slightly raised.  This gun just moved here from Humid Mo. now with our deswert dryness, I'm afraid both grips will crack but the Target might survive. Considering the humidity there, the OG owner did a fantastic job of metal care.  2 of the 4 extra sight blades have a tiny spot and that's the only rust in the entire pac! not even hazy bluing.

Light is getting nice, going to take a few pics of the set then post in what's it worth.  After seeing what the 12" bbl alone is going for, I got a smoking deal, much better than I thought at first.
