Hello all, I've just recently found out about Dan Wesson. I set out on a quest to find basically a Ruger GP100 that was scaled up for .45 Colt. But alas, Ruger does not make a full lug super Redhawk, so I was out of luck. Then I stumbled upon the 745-VH6. Sadly it seems that those are somewhat hard to find. But my quest will continue until I own one. Glad to be here on the forum. Hopefully I can learn a bit about Dan Wesson here.

Hello, I am also from Washington and new to this forum. Similar to you, a few months ago I set out to get a S&W 686 .357, but happened to find a DW 715-VH 6" in excellent condition, bought it and am very glad I did even though it cost more than a 686. The craftsmanship, precision and accuracy are amazing, and it is now my favorite handgun. Good luck on your quest.

Welcome to DWF. Did you buy one of the new production CZ/DW 715's?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome from the Bluegrass. You will not regret the purchase of a Dan Wesson revolver, in any caliber, we may be a little prejudice here but we are certain Dan Wesson is the smoothest, most user frindly and most accurate revolver ever produced.  proud-to-be-an-american

goodluck on your quest. That hunt is one of the best trips you'll take considering the prize at the end..poke

Welcome to the forum. A 745  is a very  rare gun and many members monitor auction sites relentlessly to find one. May I suggest a 744 while you search. You can shoot 44 mag or special  and it will cost about 1/3 or less.
