I am a long-time DW owner looking for some technical advice about 357 Max.

Are barrel tubes interchangeable between DW 357 Mag and DW 357 Max revolvers?

Welcome from PA!

No, the barrel tubes are not the same.
The 357 mag is a small frame gun, and the 357 Max, models 40/740 are Supermag frame guns and as such take a much heavier barrel tube.  While the bore is the same, the outside diameter of the supermag tubes is much larger.

Tubes are still available from Dan Wesson in Norwich NY.  Call them directly, not CZ, they are not very helpful.

Welcome to the DWF!  Scorpio is spot on in answering your question.

I believe that there is a 357 Max barrel on ebay right now that is mis identified as a 357 magnum . The Maximum barrels have machined shoulders on them, 357 magnum do not.
