Hey there everybody, I just picked up my first Dan Wesson .357, looks like a model 14, on a trade for a cheap .22.
I'm going to dig around and see if I can identify the year range it was made and what exact model it is. Maybe even what optional parts I can expect to pick up for it.
Details:
blued
4" (looks to be removable barrel compared to the "tear down" section)
Frame stamped: Dan Wesson Arms
Monson, Mass U.S.A.
Barrel stamped: Dan Wesson Arms
357 Magnum CTG
Serial number looks like 345XXX
Look like stock grips with the DW medallion on both sides.
hanks!

Welcome and yes a M14-2 the 14 was a pork chop barrel shroud as pictured below! Nice looking Dan you picked up there. You have a few options on these first one is head to EWK and snag a wrench and EH (extra heavy) in the 6" then pick up the front site to make it correct. (he may even change it out for you ). Look around and enjoy ask any questions someone on here will help I am sure!

Welcome from Florida!!
This is a great site to learn all about Dan Wessons. I will second the EWK wrench as DWA suggested for a good first move. Eric is a great guy as I am finding out and his stuff is top notch (The wrench for small frame) blows the old original away. Watch out for dwas has no cure.Side affects include depletion of discretionary funds...I tell myself what good is money anyways if you don't spend it.
Enjoy the
Jeff
