Hi all I have lurked the forums for sometime now, and figured I better join. I currently own a dozen DW's. I live in Kansas City, Kansas. I'll relay a story about Kansas City and Dan Wesson. some may or not know. Other then CZ currently residing in Kansas City Kansas, where I live, there was once a pawn shop called Sam's Loan Office on Minnesota Avenue in KCK. Somewhere around 90 I was in need of a new barrel tool and a local gun shop (C&R Specialties) steered me toward Sam's Loan Office, I went there and talked to the guy behind the counter and asked him if he had the elusive barrel tool and he laughed and said, "Oh yea, we have them". He opened a drawer and pulled out a brand new barrel tool and looked back and asked if I needed anything else. I was young and just out of college and poor so I said no, but I noticed this giant drawer was filled with DW barrel boxes. So I asked him about them and he said that Sam had at some point bought like a train car filled with Dan Wesson barrels, cases, tools, sights and what not and they had tons of stuff still unsorted in storage. Sam's has been gone for years now. A friend of mine was tasked with removing the inventory from that shop by the court, hundreds of rusted water logged guns from the basement of that place, but not a single Dan Wesson item that he recalls. I always have wondered where all that stuff ended up. I'll try to get some pics up of my stuff soon. I am always in the market for DW items around KC. I also collect Ram-Line Exactor pistols and Desert Eagle Mountain Eagle .22lr pistols. and H&R .22 pistols.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing the story! What DW's do you currently have?
I spent a fair amount of time in Kansas City several years ago doing a project for Kansas City Power and Light. I actually stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Minnesota Ave!
I enjoyed my time in KC but the area where the hotel was in was a little sketchy!
