My name is Frank. I've owned a DW stainless 8" 44 mag since 83 when I bought it new. It is a 2 barrel set with one of the barrels ported. I don't use the ported barrel since I shoot mostly lead and it is a hassle to clean.

I'm 65 and  retired from a career in nuclear power. I served on submarines from 67 to 72. I've been married for 39 years with 3 kids and 4 grand-kids. Hobbies include hunting, shooting, reloading and jeeping.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Welcome to the Forum. The 44 is my favorite for fun shooting, and the stainless is a real plus.

Since you bought it new, your input to the serial number registry (on the right side of the screen) would be appreciated.

Welcome to the dwf

I'm with you on those ported barrels.  Didn't realize how much I shot one afternoon and didn't think I would ever get that thing off!  Needless to say I purchased a non-ported barrel when I came across one!

Hope you enjoy the site!

dwf-welcome aboard, glad to have you here!

I love Prescott & the surrounding area. Any place that only sees snow once or twice a year is perfect in my book.laugh If I never saw snow again in my life, I think I'd be in heaven.wink I came real close to moving there in '99, but a work opportunity fell through & the plan was scrapped.

Charger Fan, I said I didn't care to see snow again in1981.In 92 a 2 wk. free ski vacation and no snow since. Ocala,Fl. has 3 seasons,no winter and no state income tax. And a giant salt lake (ocean).  Old Dog  welcomes Frank 48

Hey Frank, I'm a bit slow at giving you a "Welcome", but I'm new here as well and just finding out what's what here. I was born and raised in Arizona, and getting up there from the flaming hot valley, was always a treat. I had a job which required us to move east...Louisville,Ky.

Do you know the great "Swimming hole" "Granite Dells"? We spent a lot of time as kids there, a long time ago.

Take care have fun here.
