Howdy,
I registered long ago after falling in love with my 1911 vbob. I kept my eyes peeled for the pistol pack revolver set I found last spring. I'm now the happy owner/keeper of a stainless 2-4-6-8 chambered in 38/357. I don't have images on this computer, but I will return to share the beauty of my favorite revolver. The DW immediately relegated my Colt Trooper Mark V to paperweight status. I don't shoot it often 'cause I carry and practice with my 1911s most of the time.
I'm betting that spending a little time here learning about this pistol is going to lead me to enjoy more revolver range time. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Hello Dred. Welcome aboard from the Metroplex and congrats on your acquisitions. That was a good preemptive strike on the images question because this crowd loves !!
Just beware one Dan begets more Dans. Other wise known as .

Welcome, and in case you do not understand "DWAS" it's an illness that afflicts Dan Wesson owners.
Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome can only be halted in one of two ways:
1) Running out of money (most of us have this issue)
2) Actually owning one of everything. I spite of valiant efforts by several Members here, this cure has not yet been achieved
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome back Dred, from the Southeast (SC). Wow! Replaced a Colt, that would land you in the hot water of ridicule on other boards but not here! Looking forward to some kool pics!

Welcome Dred. Your Trooper is related to Dan Wesson revolvers. They had the same father. Karl Lewis was instrumental in the design of the Trooper mk lll lockwork (and successors the mk V, cobra and anaconda). The trooper mk V and anaconda are on my bucket list. Colt and Browning were not interested in Lewis's interchangable barrels.
