Have to clean off my work table so I can haul out all my DW stuff for a "family" photo. I have a a .22, two 15-2 .357 Magnums and a 44VH .44 Magnum all with extras. Bought the .44 back in the early 1980s and have been in love ever since. Cried twice - left a 15-2 Pistol Pack with a wife when we separated and she sold it BEFORE we got divorce! Second, knew a guy who claimed he could eyeball .006 cylinder gap and that Maximum loads listed in reloading manuals could be exceeded with all Dan Wessons. When he put his .445 up for sale I slobbered down to the gun shop to look it over. Stainless beauty but had a "trench" .08 deep cut in the underside of the top strap. Probably would have been okay since I don't abuse any of my firearms but that type of damage has always been a no-no for me just on principal - don't want people to think I'm the idiot that did it! 15-2s have taken numerous small game and varmints with LSWC loads in .38 Special and .357 Mag handloads. 44VH has taken two deer and 4 feral hogs over 6 hunting seasons (It was NOT my PRIMARY weapon on any of the hunts but was easier to use in heavy brush). Give me the DW 44VH and one of the .308/7.62 x 51 mm M14Ss and I'll be ready for anything. Handloading makes both rounds so flexible you can take care of anything from house flys to semi trucks.
Glad I found this place.

Welcome!
Wow,, sounds like some great shooting! I am kinda trying to set myself up to hunt some hogs myself with my .357. Just seems like it would be fun.
