Jordan here from DFW TX. Found this forum last night after putting my guns in new safe and deciding to do some research on my DW.
Grandfather gave me this gun years ago. All I knew was the brand and that it was a 357....oh and a blast to shoot.
I dont know a whole lot about the gun. Founds lots of guidance on here so I decided to join.
I own what I believe to be a model 14-2. Hoping someone can confirm or correct me on that. Blue, 6in. barrel, fixed rear sight, non-adjustable front sight. Thats really all I can tell you other than gun is in great shape. Only a few scratches on left side of barrell.

You are correct! Welcome to the DWF and thanks for posting 1- in the new member's introduction, 2- posting a pic, 3- doing some research and making an educated stab at what your grandfather passed on to you. Family guns are the best.

I appreciate the feedback! Glad to hear it is indeed a 14-2.
Ron - thank you sir. Did not want to be that "new guy" lol.
Love the 14. Shoots pretty well even with the fixed sights. Very solid and quality design.
Now ive never modded any gun in any way, but now ive got the itch to do a few things and maybe accessorize for sake of making it the best home defender I can. My little Kahr PM9 is my daily CC weapon and dont plan on using the DW for that purpose.
Nice to see the DW can be so versatile with mods while not ruining any of the original parts. Very cool actually considering its age.
Now if I can just find all the parts I need. Looks like I need to start off by tracking down a model 15 barrel shroud..
