Just thought I'd say howdy.
Years ago, Dad bought a nice Dan Wesson 44V from a guy, probbaly via an ad in the paper. 6" & 8" barrels, and the 8" one is scoped with a B-square mount & Leupold M8 2x scope. (Dad went through a few cheap scopes before he got this good one.)
Dad recently passed away, leaving a big hole in my life. And leaving the Dan Wesson to me. I'm hoping to learn some more about it, hopefully find an owner's manual, maybe teardown info, date of manufacture, etc.
I contacted CZ but I wonder how good their info will be on this older gun (marked Monson, Mass).

GunsShooting, first I would like to welcome you to the forum and said that I'm sorry for the loss of your father.
There is a PDF version of the Large Frame Owners manual posted here on the DWF. Here is the link.
It's pretty simple to remove the barrels if you have the proper barrel wrench. If not they are available from CZ or eBay.
There is very little information regarding serial numbers and production dates since the company has been in and out of business a few times. We have started compiling information here on the forum based on information from members who remember what year they purchased their guns new. Here is a link to what we have, I hope it helps.
