Thanks for the welcome not to many Dan Fans in southern Or. Got the Pistol Pac on the left 30 years ago a year later needed tires so I traded it.
The guy said if I ever wanted it back I could just pay for the tires the next year I saved up and went down to get it back and he did not remember
that part of the conversation. I would see him a few times every year and ask him if he would sell my Dan back to me. He would always reply that is the only pistol I can shoot I am never selling that gun. I told my wife this story a few years ago and I did not know it but she went to work on him and surprised me with it on my 50th birthday. It was the only gun I ever parted with and the last. That started the wave. I'm hooked
Shoot it a lot clean it a lot and I am a happy boy.
Thanks for the welcome.

Norwich. That is the American Tourister type case. Those cases were used by DW around 1987 & for a few years after. Look HERE at the bottom of post #17. The factory DW cases can be distinguished by having only one hinged lid prop on the side, where the actual briefcases used two. Klamtucky's case appears to have been custom made either himself, or by a previous owner...especially since that one appears to be an earlier 70's Tourister case.
The Norwich first issue cases were larger, more rectangular & had a brass "First Issue" plate on the lid. There's a couple of those cases in post #18 of that thread.
