When I began shooting in earnest back in the 80's and 90's and did a little silhouette shooting I learned about these fantastic guns that seemed to be winning everything. It has been a long time goal of mine to someday own one.
A few months ago my LGS had a 15-2. I decided to sleep on it. When I went back the next day, it was gone. I vowed then and there to never let that happen again. So a few days ago I was back at the LGS buying a father's day gift for my father and perused the used gun counter as I always do. It was sort of hidden in the back. It's like it was meant to be.
The cylinder lock up was as tight as I've ever seen, excellent trigger, and the finish was outstanding. SO I left with two father's day gifts. Something a little less expensive for my father, and one for me. Aside for some minor leading in the bore (already remedied thanks to Hoppes no 9 and some elbow grease) I can't find anything not to like about this new friend.
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for ya'll later, but at the moment I feel like an adolescent with a new girlfriend.

Now THAT is harsh. We may be abnormal, narrowly focused, and obsessed but...
Yeah, I see your point
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

How about welcome to the semi-socially acceptable dysfunction???
To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:
if you find one...what's your plan?

Hi- just got my first DW. Actually, I have to finish paying it off, but that shouldn't take too long.
It's an 8" vent rib, with the cut outs.
Until yesterday, I had never heard of the 357 max. It looks to be pretty cool.
Is there a serial number database somewhere so I can figure out when it was made?
Nice to be here.

If you look to the right side of the Forum under DWF Serial # Registry, you might find that which you seek.
Just below Reloading Roundtable and just above the Range.
