Hi,

I am from Illinois.  Have owned a 445 supermag, model 15 and 722.  Had to sell them last year.  Just started trying to rebuild the collection.  I have a 744 Palmer gun with ported barrel.  I have been real happy with it and shot a wild pig in Florida with it in February.  I just bought a stainless 740 357 supermag Monson gun.

Welcome Jon, To bad you had to part with your DWs but you have a great start getting some more. Can't wait to see a few pics.  Welcome

Welcome heat73.  You make the member count from Illinois = 3.  Glad to have you here.  If you live near sub-Chicago maybe we can get together to shoot sometime. Laugh  Or maybe not.rofl

I ,too, am a fan of the Big Bang theory of handgun ownership.  Enjoy your new guns.

Welcome John! I used to live in Illinois, but I didn't own any Dan Wessons there.

Sorry you had to sell your DW collection, but you have a couple good ones for your new collection.

laughing  Nice added pic IHMSA 80X80.  Heat 73 anotherWelcome to our club.  I guess by now you realize we have a terminal need to see Cool Pics on a regular basis, just one of our memberships ailments lol2.  Glad you joined and are rebuilding a new collection of Dans.  Two nice choices to start with.  I too like the Big Bang theory in handguns.  Maybe soon you'll locate another 445SM to put the bang back in your shooting.  I expect you'll really like the model 40.  They are one of the finest revolvers DW ever produced IMHO.  Glad to have you.

Nice work, that 744 isn't just ported (moderately common), it's actually compensated (much less common).

You are clearly a member of the CRA Brotherhood

Welcome aboard

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I was happy to get the 744.  Pure luck.  I bought it from a guy i work with who wasn't even trying to sell it.  He bought it new and it was a safe queen.  Only had about a box of ammo through it.  Had the box, tools, etc.  I just got the model 740 locally too. I couldn't pass it up at the good price. Laugh
