Found the forum a few weeks ago while expanding my search for a DW revolver.
A couple months ago the wife suggested we should carry something more substantial than my trusty .22 semi-auto in our RV. Having carried a S&W Model 15 .38 for several years in the USAF, I have been partial to the venerable Combat Masterpiece for a long time and assumed that someday I would own one. So, that's where my search started, then moved quickly to .357 and other S&W's before I stumbled upon the DW models. Comparing quality and condition of available used S&W's, Colt's, etc., to the DW, I quickly figured out there was really no comparison and began shopping in earnest for a clean, reasonably priced, 6" DW 15. Finally scored one in a live+online firearms auction a couple of weeks ago, and received it last week. Overall, it is in excellent condition and shows very little use. It is a Monson, and from the serial number I believe it was manufactured in '79. Will post some pictures soon.
I am also posting some ammo questions in the "Revolvers" section and would appreciate your help there.

Welcome to the Forum. I did respond to your other Topic, but failed to add that the 15-2 will be a much stronger and more durable revolver than most similar guns. It will digest a steady and heavy diet of virtually any commercially available with no issue, and is rated by Buffalo Bore as appropriate for it's "Heavy" loadings.
You need to try pretty hard to break a DW, I really pushed the limits many years ago with some pretty crazy loads with bullets as light as 90 gr. That gun is still shooting great to this day.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
