I just pulled the trigger on a 357mag DW with 4",6", & 8" barrels - probably won't be shipped for a week or so but I figured I'd join and see what there was to see. I've owned/own a Colt and Ruger or 2 and I've traded around more Smith's than I could possibly keep track of but this is my first DW - looking forward to playing with one. Notice a few people from SP are on here.

dbd870! Wash your hands frequently so you don't get DWAS, I am infected. Where is SP as you referred to in your post? I'm not very geographical. You'll see alot of interesting stuff on the forum and tee shirts are available so you can "strut your stuff" at the range or the mall!

No case, regular wrench and a custom wrench he had made, DW wod grip and a Pachy Presentation grip, feeler gauge, an extra front sight and a couple of extra springs. $550 – thought that was pretty good. I'll probably look for a 2″ barrel at some point. SP is Specialty Pistols - a website for XP100, T/C and other singleshot handgun shooters although there certainly is a DW following on there as well. That site has been pretty hard on the bank account - I hope this one take it a little easier on me!

to the bestest gun forum on the 'net!
Sounds like you made out well on your first DW purchase, you're off to a good start. I've been on SP for a short while, but so far haven't caught the single shot bug...too busy buying DW's.
Show off that new toy when you can, we'd love to see it.

again to our forum, and as mentioned above when the ole DWAS sets in their will be nothing left but a ravaged bank account. There are a few sharp DW's over there on SP too. Just wait till you shoot that fine piece of hardware you got coming. Then there will be no turning back

Evening folks,
Just found this forum and signed up. Glad to see people are keeping the breed alive. I probably know some of you and of course everyone knows Dean (he has my (now his) 741 SRS1). Looking forward to chatting from time to time.
For those who don't know me, I was a technical consultant and distributor for DW in the Serva days. I built and still have the first 7360 SRS1V10S. I sold a lot of product for them during the period. Started shooting DW's with my first new revolver a 445VH8S in 92. Only have 3 now, a 745VH8, a 7360 pistol pack and a 7445V10S.
I do have a lot of gunsmith parts from when I had the business. they are just collecting dust now.
Take care, be talking to ya,
Mike

First of all, I am a firm believer in the adage "A dirty gun is a Happy gun". All my kids need baths before they are presentable for pictures. I am off to a major British Car Show (my other passion) with my red headed step child (69 MGCGT) for today and church and a wedding tomorrow so it will be some time next week before they get their annual baths.
BTW, I put it up on the classified by I am looking for a 745V4BA to turn my 745 into a carry gun. Had one on my 7460 when I sold it years ago and really liked it.
Regards,
Mike

Hi Larry, to the forum!
What have you got yourself into? One of the finest DA revolvers ever made, that's all. Tell us more about it...blue or stainless, what length barrel, what type of shroud, what grips? Look on the right side of the frame and let us know who made it, was it Monson, Palmer or New York? Of course, we all like pictures when you get a chance. In the meantime, go out and shoot that gun!
