Extremely nice. The first model 15 was supposedly at 10,000 serial number. Yours was made in early 1971 probably.
The nickel on the inside of the frame and sideplate slicks up the lockwork. The frame and sideplate hold the lockwork in position and produces most of the friction. If you install Wolff Reduced power springs (8lb mainspring) you will have the fastest DA ever made. It rates with the best. The 15 and 14 had the short action hammer. That changed with the 15-1 at serial number 25,000 +/-. I would guess there was a problem with light strikes. I have never had a problem. My nickel 14 is my bedside gun. The short action is not caused by the hammer. It is because the trigger does not have the little ledge the trigger return spring sits on. That 1/16 of an inch difference creates the shorter hammer throw. If you put a model 15 trigger in a 15-2 it would have the shorter traveling hammer travel.

Thanks for the welcome, and appreciate the compliments on the gun. It is a looker and I am quite vulnerable..haha, well, who isn't.
Where can I get the tool for the barrel adjustment?
Thanks!
