Hi From Texas,
I am a poor shot and a worse typist. I started shooting about 2 years ago because my grandson wanted to learn how to shot. When I found out how expensive it was I rushed to get him interested in girls. I last shot in 1955 in the Navy. They tried to qualify me with a 45. Eventually they gave me a 38 and told me if I ever had to use it to throw it. At the Fort Worth Gun show I saw a Dan Wesson 357 I liked the looks of it so I bought not knowing anything about Dan Wesson. I found the forum when trying to determine the age of the gun.
I am not sure I trust my knowledge level enough to give advice but I am looking forward to being on the forum.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to DWF, this is the place to learn about your new Dan Wesson. Lots of great guys on here to help you with any questions you come up with. Check out the serial number chart under archives to get an approximate build date for your gun.

Welcome!
Now that you have .357, what you need is DW .22.. both are about as cheap as it gets to shoot. I just got into reloading the .38 ... tis fun and I can say I spent my practise time make ammo and thus my aim has suffered.
Yeah, girls can get expensive. My son has all 32 flavors of Axe... oh the money!
