Just was thinking about reconditioning my Dan Wesson so I was looking on the web for ideas and stumbled on to this site. I guess we are all part of the Dan Wesson cult.
I do not have much information on my gun, I bought it almost 16 years ago when I was 19. I was going to gun shows with my father and wanted to get my FIRST pistol. I liked the unique feature of interchangeable barrels that the Dan Wessons had. I wanted to get a 41mag DW but after searching high and low I couldn't find one, but I stumbeld on a DW 44mag. I paid $275 back in 1993 and have never looked back. I see that allot of people looking for values of their guns, I know the value of mine PRICLESS.
Don't know model # or when it was manufactured. It is a blue Monson gun .44 mag, 8″ barrel and it has the porting Serial # 0053xx
can't get pics to post

Rookie-Welcome to Dan Wesson Forum. You are right when you say that your first pistol is priceless, my first was a Dan Wesson Model 15 that I bought new 30 years ago. I have never considered selling it, but I recently gave it to my son (who is also priceless).

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
