I purchased my first Dan Wesson revolver yesterday. Well i got ahead of myself i was supposed to introduce myself first. I am 60 yrs old and have been a dedicated cast bullet shooter for many years. my first love has been bolt action milatary rifes from any nation. However i also own and shoot several handguns. One of my favorite cartridges is the 32 H&R magnum. I have a ruger bisley and a shotgun i converted to shoot this cartridge. I found a Dan Wesson in 32 mag with both the 6 and 4 inch blr for $450.00 and think i got a pretty good deal. The 32 mag is so versital and accurate i just had to have another one. It came with the take down tool that i have been told is hard to find. Maybe i will get a chance to shoot it in the morning, i have rounded up some empty cases and have a couple hundred rcbs 98 gr. swc bullets, anyway i will let you know how it shoots if i get to the range tomorrow. joe gifford aka argie1891

Welcome to the group. A 32 with two barrels for that price sounds like darn near in my book. We thrive on pictures here so get up off them. And I really want to here the shotgun to 32 conversion story.
Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

to the DWF!
The Dan Wesson 32 Mag is a fairly elusive gun, so being able to grab one with an extra barrel for that price, is a pretty good deal, IMO. Congrats on your score!
You converted a shotgun to fire a 32 Mag? Sounds interesting. Is it a single shot gun?
ok the information on the shotgun conversion. i purchased a lathe and mill 2 years ago and knew nothing about metal working. anyway i was given a 30/06 take off blr. i took an old single shot 12 ga. and used the o6 blr for a liner i turned it down inserted it into the shotgun and chambered it to 32 mag. the only hard part was building an extractor. on my second attemt i made one that works 100% of the time. i have been shooting it with lyman 311241 at 150 gr. with 10 gr. of surplus 680 powder. it will print 2 inch groups at 100 yards with no problem. i also converted a 20 gs stevens to 32-40 winchester using an 8mm blr. i have a 22 blr and am looking for a suitable shotgun to convert to 218 bee. anyway that is how i keep busy. joe gifford aka argie1891
