New guy here, I usually just lurk around looking for information but figured I would take the plunge and join up with you guys. I've had a PMA-S for about 6 years now and love it. So when my neighbor gave me a box of about 500 .357 bullets I went looking for something to shoot 'em through and couldn't resist this 15-2 with two barrels. After my first trip to the range I was a little disappointed but I think will be able to get her right with a little tinkering. That's why i am here.

Awr, to the . Way to go on the right off the bat. So now what's the problem with the 15-2? As you know there are lots of "experts" here to help out, so give us the range report and we'll try to get it shoot'n good for ya.
Very nice looking PM with the DW grips, and the 15-2 looks great also!
Thanks for joining up and hope to see you around alot.

You asked!! So here we go.
I thought I had looked her over pretty well before bringing her home, but after a thorough oiling and one trip to the range about fifty rounds of 38 loads, I began to find problems.
Grip became loose- the grip original grip screw only catches by a few threads and the frame stripped out. Temporarily fixed with a longer hardware store screw which engages more threads.
Rear sight blade loose and it shoots high with the rear sight all the way down- I guess both are a common problem, I took the sight all apart but couldn't come up with a solution. If you do this they are a little tricky to get back together. Call me lucky- yesterday I was at Gander picking up a Rem 7400 carbine, my wife goes to the clearance bin holds up a DW Millet front and rear sight and says "can you use these" gotta love that girl.
End shake I hadn't felt before showed up- a lot of it seemed to be from the crane to frame fit, i reversed the crane lock and that took a lot of it out. it's around .004-.006 now but i might work on it a little more.
Rotational shake seems excessive but if it shoots good I'll probably leave it alone.

The New Guy Trifecta! And some troubleshooting to boot
Welcome aboard.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hi awr !
My 15 also shoot's high with 38's but fine with 357's . Have you tried both barrels ?
Also when checking your end shake are you pulling back so far that your depressing the
detent ball in the rear frame ? that may account for some of your .004-.006 end shake.

I must wholeheartedly agree! I love her already!! I can tell you done good. hehe ok, so far the problems you've noticed....yes, .38 rounds will target in a differet impact point than .357...speed has an issue with that, doesn't matter which gun you're working with.
Rear sight loose...not positive on the fix for that one.
Shoots high...maybe try a lighter grain bullet (with .357). If the bulllet leaves the barrel faster, it should print lower on the target.
