Joined DWForum in December. Own a DW Valor and VBOB, both .45, and they are as good as the most avid DWite says. Have just ordered one of the new Valors in 9mm with some custom work. I think that is all the 1911's I can handle for the time being but the DWfever/addiction has not gone away, just changed symptoms to create a craving for revolvers. DWs of any sort are rare in this area and have seen just one DW revolver in four years here. I am interested in acquiring a 15-2VH pack. If anyone has any leads to good sources, including reputable dealers, would appreciate a PM. Have been following a number on GunBroker, etc. and very hard to tell condition - and I always assume a blurred photo posted by a dealer is there for a reason. Anyway, any enabling you provide me in my DW addiction will be appreciated by me and your name kept from my spouse. Thanks
Bob

Thanks, saw that and price not out of the park - just debating whether want a 2 1/2 barrel as well. Probably won't cc but nice to have. Suppose I could special order one if I decided I wanted it. Also, part of reason for wanting an older set is would like a blued gun. All my DWs are Duty Treat and just can't warm up to stainless. Ah, the joys of choices. Thanks

Welcome Bob and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. Hmmm..another Lone Star State member. With all the recent new members, need to do a head count, we may have a majority.
To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:
if you find one...what's your plan?
Almost all my purchases on Gunbroker have been a positive experience. The Revolvers are so sturdy that the only issue is cosmetics. The sideplate scratches are a shame but most used dans have some. If you keep your index and middle finger on the cylinder and the gun tilted to the left while ejecting you can prevent more scratches. Because of the modular nature off the revolvers they can be repaired easily without a gunsmith. If the photos are blurry you can ask the seller for more. The sideplate scratches are often hard to see and yes, some sellers try to hide them. Muzzle wear is usually disclosed. Signs of hard use include marks on the recoil shield from the Star and cartridge case and scratched or polished bead blasting on the top of the shroud and frame. Particularly nasty are gouges on the back of the recoil shield from the extended star. I have found that most gun shops sell trade ins immediately on Gunbroker, hence the paucity of Dans in their cases. BTW, anyone needing parts to small frame guns should contact Snake-eye for a deal. He and I came into a vast horde of parts recently. Especially gunsmith who are having trouble finding stuff..

Welcome and good luck with your search. The search is half the fun of the purchase. However, you will have to be prepared to pay as prices are going up fast and Dans are no longer the unrecognized stepchild.
Thanks - and have noticed the move upwards in my search, which I am enjoying - but I do want to experience the other half of the fun and have a 15-2VH in my hand, at the range, paper punching. Willing to pay for the DW quality and as patience is not a virtue I have had the time to acquire, this newbie is trying to be cautious, also not a virtue I have in great abundance.
